Purchasing Technician – Houston, TX

Our Purchasing Technician position will provide you with the opportunity to apply your professional procurement and administrative experience supporting Energy and Chemicals projects. Each day you will be an important team member that ensures our Client has the critically needed equipment, materials and services in place and within budget. You should be a self motivated, detailed oriented professional with at least 4 years of experience in procurement and administration.

Our Purchasing Technicians:

• Perform low-level procurement activities with moderate to infrequent supervision
• May assist with the generation and filing of procurement instruments
• May interface with Procurement systems
• May create or maintain simple databases and/or spreadsheets
• May interface with suppliers and subcontractors
• Assist Procurement personnel as requested
• May be assigned to any Procurement function and are accountable to the Houston Delivery Center Procurement Manager
• Complete all procurement activities/tasks in a timely, accurate efficient manner

Basic Qualifications

• High school degree or GED
• 4-6 years in purchasing, administrative or related experience
• 3 years experience with MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business or related field such as Construction Management or Pre-Law

Degree Required

Associates or 2 Year Degree
