THE ROLE
A major international oil & gas operating company has requested CCL to provide a Senior Project Engineer to be based in Angola. Must be able to travel / work offshore as required. 1 year (renewable) contact. Excellent rate / T&Cs.
THE PERSON
Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the subsea operations field with some supervisory experience. The ability to provide subsea project engineering support and take the lead in managing small projects from the point of engineering handover to the close out of the projects. Experience in managing and coordinating multiple sub-contractors. Providing technical support and troubleshooting capability to subsea activities. Familiarity with risk assessment techniques and experience of participating and leading risk assessments of subsea activities. Conducting reviews of project technical documentation relating to subsea projects. Coaching and supporting Angolan trainees to provide future staff for the subsea team.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Degree / HNC or equivalent or alternative candidates with well proven experience. Chartered Engineer would be preferred. Familiar with offshore industry standards and practice. Excellent communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English, essential. Must be computer literate. Must be eligible to reside and work in Angola.
