The role

 •  The execution of physical examinations on all pre-employments, exit employees and periodical examinations (including contractors) as part of the medical fitness program; analysis and interpretations of results from physical examinations

•  Referrals of analysis and interpretations to Medical Practitioner and record keeping

•  Training and informing the workforce regarding all occupational health issues

•  Adherence to all safety, health standards and promote good housekeeping on an ongoing basis

•  Identifying of potential Occupational health deviations and corrective actions taken

•  Work ethics is of such a nature that it benefits the company and everyone working for it

•  Provide assistance pro-actively or when needed or asked for by the supervisor or other team members

You will need

 •  High regard to Safety, Regulations and Standards

•  Result orientated – timely delivery of results

•  Sound knowledge of safety systems and standards procedures

•  Good communication and interpersonal skills

•  Flexible – operate successfully across disciplines

•  Self disciplined – ability to perform within unstructured environment

•  Computer literate

•  Driver's license

•  In possession of or able to obtain a certificate of fitness

 Requirements

 •  A diploma in General nursing

•  Registration with the South African Nursing Council

•  Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing

•  Certificate in Industrial Audiometry and Spirometry

•  Proof of Professional indemnity

•  3+ years relevant experience as an Occupation Health Nurse

•  Code 8 Drivers License

•  In possession of or be able to obtain a Medical of Fitness Certificate

Remuneration

 •  The initial salary will be determined in accordance with Kumba Iron Ore Ltd regulations.

• This position is an Anglo Band 8 (Kumba H-Role)
