Kinetic Defence is the leading supplier of recruitment solutions to the Defence and Aerospace industries. Our client is currently looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer who is looking for a challenging hands-on role within the Defence Industry.

This position will see the successful applicant reporting to the Engineering Manager and will provide an excellent opportunity to commence your career in Mechanical Engineering and a unique opportunity to enter the Defence Industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct technical investigations to solve operational, performance, failure or maintainability problems in hyperbaric equipment
• Design and prepare drawings of hyperbaric equipment to establish configuration baselines for new and existing equipment installations
• Write technical documents on hyperbaric equipment and systems including safety cases, hazard-risk assessments, specifications, manuals and other Engineering deliverables
• Perform Project Management of design, supply, install and commission projects and subcontractor repair and installation activities

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Mechatronic)
• Mechanical Design Capability
• Excellent investigation, analytical and verbal communication skills
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar
• 'Hands on' Mechanical Aptitude
• Defence experience would be advantageous but not essential
