Eleven of Barrick’s mining operations are found within the Australia Pacific region, with its regional head office located in Perth, Western Australia.     Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Underground Shift Supervisor, the Long hole Drill Operator is responsible for, but not limited to, the drilling of production long holes and may be required to assist in the charging and firing of production headings.   Requirements: The successful applicant will ideally have:   ·         Experience in underground hard rock mining techniques particularly regarding the drilling of production long holes for the purpose of sub-level stoping ·         Experience in the charging and firing of production headings ·         Experience using Tamrock drills desirable; ·         A current drivers license ·         Good written and communication skills ·         Proven ability to contribute to safety systems   Barrick is committed to high quality safety and environmental practices and applicants should be able to demonstrate shared values in this area.   The Conditions: Darlot Gold Mine provides employees with an attractive fly in fly out roster from Perth.
