Atlas Energy, LP (NYSE: ATLS), a publicly-traded company focused primarily on natural gas exploration, gathering, processing and transportation, is seeking a candidate for the position of Sr HR Generalist / HR Manager.

DEFINITION

The primary purpose of this position is to manage all processes related to the employment life-cycle.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

This is an experienced, manager role with possible supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Act as strategic business partner and change agent to management and client groups
• Participate in policy development and as a member of cross-functional HR team
• Act as liaison between client group and broader HR department
• Effectively manage employee relations issues
• Communicate HR-related programs to managers and employees, conduct meetings and webinars, etc.
• Identify, develop and support key talent within the client group by offering knowledge and expertise, processes and tools to identify specific development needs and training gaps, etc.
• Depending upon recruitment volume, may manage the full talent acquisition life cycle for client group
• Support and oversee the performance management cycle for client group, including the performance appraisal and goal setting process
• Provide talent management information, change management support, coaching, mentoring and other support as needed to client group
• Handle special projects as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
• Minimum eight years in human resources
• PHR or SPHR strongly desired
• Broad knowledge of, and experience with, HR principles, practices and procedures
• Ability to prioritize with a focus on delivering on-time and quality outcomes
• Ability to work independently with multiple people at many levels, and as part of a team
• Ability to work in an unstructured environment across many levels of the organization
• Ability to travel to Atlas's field offices
• Ability to coach and develop employees and managers at all levels
• Excellent communication skills including proven platform skills
• Effective customer service skills
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain security and confidentiality of employee and other information
• Thorough understanding of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

WORKING CONDITIONS

• This role is performed in an office environment which is well-lit and relatively free from dangerous working conditions. There is no exposure to extreme hot/cold temperatures in the office environment.
