Education: Prefer to have a Bachelors Degree in engineering, science or related physical or biological science or have extensive petroleum operations, production and drilling HSE experience.

Experience: Prefer the candidate to have a minimum of 15-20 years oilfield and HSE experience with an offshore operator or a drilling or major contractor.

Other industry job experience is a plus. HSE and oilfield experience outside the US or native country is a must due to the multinational workforce expectation on this project. Experience in emergency response, oil spill, permit to work, risk/hazard evaluation, incident investigation are necessary skill sets.

Qualifications: The ability to understand oilfield and offshore regulatory process, construction, offshore drilling, production and office HSE issues is a vital component of the skill set. Exceptional interpersonal skills are necessary to clearly communicate with field, staff and management of all levels along with partners and government.

Description: This position is a senior professional position who will provide the leadership to the Offshore HSE Department. The position is the focal point of HSE leadership, management and advice to Operations, Drilling, Procurement, Exploration and Land/Leasing Departments. The position has to interface with management, staff and contractors about compliance, policies, and standards for company operations. The HSE Manager will also be responsible for the management of HSE staff and HSE contractors, for the implementation of the process, management systems, programs and procedures designed to protect asset integrity, eliminate risk and liabilities to both personnel and the business. This person will also interface with the government officials and suppliers.

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
