  The Role Reporting to the Mining Manager of our Edna May Operation (EMO), this key role will be responsible for overseeing the mine production team and ensuring high standards are maintained as well as achieving production targets. The Mine Superintendent is accountable for the performance of the production team through training and development, career development and recruitment.   To be successful   To be considered for this role you must be tertiary qualified in mining or a related discipline with extensive experience and sound knowledge of open pit mining practices. It also is essential that you possess as a minimum a restricted WA Quarry Manager’s Certificate of Competency with the ability to obtain an unrestricted Certificate. Excellent communication and people management skills are essential, as is the ability to accurately monitor and report costs, and provide forecasts. You will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position.     Edna May Gold Project Edna May Gold Project is conveniently positioned just 2 kilometres from the town of Westonia, on the eastern edge of WA’s Wheatbelt region. The mine is half way between Perth and Kalgoorlie and ideally situated to be serviced by either of these major mining centres. Edna May employs around 150 people including contractors. The workforce can choose to live locally in Westonia, Merredin or surrounding regional communities or DIDO (drive in drive out) from Perth, on company provided transport. Edna May provides accommodation whilst rostered on in our village which offers ensuite (single) rooms with quality meals.
