Evolution Mining is a leading growth-focused Australian mid-cap gold producer with five Australian gold projects across QLD and WA, a defined growth pathway, significant & exciting exploration potential and a strong financial position.   · 5:2 Roster · Townsville based role, with some travel to Mt Carlton site required · 6 month contract · High performance culture   The Role Reporting directly to the Procurement Superintendent this role is to provide purchasing services to support the construction and operation of the Mt Carlton Mine. You will contribute to the Company’s goals by providing effective purchasing and supply services to the Mt Carlton Mine site through the timely delivery and receipting of goods and services in a cost effective and ethical manner.   You will also maintain efficient operation of the Evolution Mining ERP System to procure, store and disburse stock in a timely and friendly manner. Comply with all statutory requirements, Acts and Regulations relevant to the position. Demonstrate commitment to and reinforce company values to all employees     To be Successful The Purchasing Officer must be self-motivated and a self-starter. The incumbent must also have the ability to communicate effectively with persons in all levels of the organisation. All work must be completed to a high standard and incorporate sound procurement and purchasing practice. Currently in a Construction phase, the site anticipates approximately 200 people including contractors, reducing to roughly 140 staff for Operations. This is a Drive in/ Drive out site with the majority of employees living in Townsville or the Bowen region.
