A Thunder Bay-based exploration group would like to add a Senior Geologist to their team. The Senior Geologist will be responsible for managing drill programs, projects, data compilation and interpretation on client projects. They will provide expertise and technical savvy to the exploration programs. They will be responsible for the development of comprehensive models and interpretations along with mapping and 3-D modeling as appropriate.
The successful candidate will have 5-10+ years experience in exploration with a significant amount of exposure to Platinum Group Metal/Element exploration. A degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or equivalent is necessary with solid expertise in managing drilling and exploration programs. They must have a strong background in geological modeling and the related software (Gemcom, Datamine, etc) along with good GIS skills. Professional designation (P. Geo. or P. Eng) is a must. Solid knowledge of exploration standards and methods, including NI 43-101 and the ability to act as the QP under the appropriate circumstances.
This position will be based in Thunder Bay, Ontario with a significant amount of time in the field at project sites as needed. Depending on the candidate's personal situation this can be a rotational position with home base in North America.
