GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include: Preparation of ore samples, process samples, and exploration samples. The technician will also be utilized in fire assay, wet laboratory, and operation of analytical instrumentation. Analyses will include wet analyses, instrumentation including Graphite Furnace, Atomic Absorption, Carbon and Sulfur, XRF analysis. Various levels of computer use included and other duties as assigned.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

• Two (2) to three (3) years experience in a mining or commercial laboratory preferred.
• Experience with and knowledge of computer operation (Labware is a plus) required.
• Exemplary safety and attendance records required.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this job required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize a heavy workload required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers in a team environment required.
• Knowledge of state and federal health and safety regulations required.
• Familiarity with chemicals and laboratory procedures preferred.
