Job description:

The Well Intervention Well Site Leader (WSL) is an integral member of the Wells Group, a team responsible for delivering safe and compliant wells in support of North Slope Operations. The position reports to the Well Operations Supervisor. The WSL is the on-site coordinator of sub-surface well work operations. They arrange support logistics, assign well work activities to crews, and ensure well work operations conform to the Global Wells Policies and the Wells Group Standard Operating Practices. This position requires a full understanding of sub-surface well work operations so they are conducted in a safe, environmentally sound, technically successful, manner.

Safety: The WSL leads by example. This person must be a true leader in every aspect of safety and environmental performance. The WSL is expected to participate in investigations, assure actions are closed out, set expectations and assure third parties to the work site to the standards set.
People: the WSL is to develop and work a team on the work site for safe execution of the programs. Teamwork is the key to delivering safe and compliant wells. The WSL will execute the program and engage the broader team systematically and to assure a diverse range of input and to include all members.
Operations: The WSL must ensure compliance with all Company and Government policies and regulations. The WSL must be current in Well Control Training and will participate in Emergency Management training. They insure that all risk assessments at the work site are completed for all non-routine operations. All required HSE training will be taken. Data is entered into the AWGRS database daily. The WSL attests to delivery of goods and services at the work location.

• The duties and responsibilities for this role are as follows:
• Safety leader ensuring work crews comply to BP’s standards, policies, and procedures.
• Day to day oversight of well work crews
• Scheduling well work crews and associated support equipment
• Ensuring activity records accurately report well work results
• Recording and tracking of non-productive time of well work crews
• Actively pursue cost saving and innovative solutions for well work operations
• Source Control / Technical Specialist under IMT
• High school diploma• BS degree in engineering and 3 years of well work experience or 10 years of well work experience.• Communicate effectively with work crews in the field.
• Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills.
• Extensive knowledge of coiled tubing, electric line, slickline, or pumping operations
• Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to work with a diverse group of engineering, operations, and contractor staff.
• Basic computer and writing skills are required for documenting daily reports.
