Job DescriptionPosition Title: Sr. Mine EngineerReports To: Mine General ManagerLocation: Pinson Mine, 30 miles north east of Winnemucca, NVTHE PROJECTAtna recently acquired full interest in the Pinson gold property located near Winnemucca inHumboldt County, Nevada. The principal focus at Pinson is the development of high grade,refractory, feeder zone mineralization by underground mining methods. Ore's will be shipped tothird party processing and refining facilities. Total mineral resources containing over 2.0 millionounces of gold have been delineated. The goal will be to move this property rapidly intoproduction to produce between 50,000 and 100,000 ounces of gold per annum.Position Description:The position will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and controlling mineengineering, planning, geotechnical services and related functions, including resource andmineral reserve modeling and estimation. The incumbent will be responsible for shortand long term mine planning, cost estimating, budgeting and optimization trade offstudies. In addition, responsibilities include design of underground mine developmentworkings, blasting systems, ventilation systems, ground control systems, productionstopes and mine haulage systems . All the while ensuring a strong commitment to safetyand environmental compliance.Job Qualifications:• BS Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.• Minimum 6 years experience in underground hard rock mining• Minimum of 2 years on site experience in narrow vein mining & back filling• Experience in underhand cut and fill stoping methods• Experience in mine ventilation, rock mechanics & ground control techniques• Proficient in resource modeling & designing of UG mine development• Capable of utilizing latest computer & software technologies such as Microsoftoffice products, CAD software, and mining programs such as Vulcan, Surpac,MineSite, Gemcom or Dataminec.• Supervisory experience with both technical and non technical personnelJob Requirements:• Ability to operate a motor vehicle in the performance of assigned duties• Manage on site contractors & consultants• Optimize the extraction of mineralized zones and minimize dilution• Direct and supervise other mine engineers, geologist and surveyorsPage 2 of 2• Responsible for resource modeling, resource and reserve estimates• Design of underground mine development, blasting systems, ventilationsystems, ground support systems, production stopes and haulage systems.• Mine planning activities for both short term and long term• Responsible for coordinating ore control activities, sorting of ore types andtracking ore stockpile quantities and quality with mine operations, with the minegeologist.• Responsible for preparation of daily, monthly and yearly production reports• Prepare clearly written monthly reports and other documentation on requiredfrequencies.• Prepare capital and operating cost estimates• Develop and manage budgets• Maintain constructive and effective working relationships with Pinsonemployees, contractors and consultants.• Ability to multi-task and prioritize time, work, and resources.• Other tasks as required in support of company objectivesInquiries should be directed to Douglas Stewart, Chief Operating Officer of Atna Resources Ltd.303-278-8464 Ext. 141 dstewart@atna.com
