Mine Manager | Ghana

Up To $150,000 (USD) + Excellent Benefits + Bonus

We are currently searching for an experienced Mine Manager, who would be able to take up the responsibility of managing for the operations of a leading Gold mine in Ghana, Africa; including engineering, geology and maintenance. The successful candidate will report into the General Manager.

We kindly ask applicants to have experience in the African mining sector within Mine Management before applying.

Responsibilities:

• Provide management and leadership to the implementation of strategies, budgets,contingency planning and mining programmes
• Liaising with mining contractors, third parties and mitigation from contractor to owner mining.
• Proficiency in mine planning (ideally X-Pac, Datamine, Surpac) software.
• All mining activities comply with best practice health and safety management standards
• Preparing and delivering monthly reports relating to mining performance and create methods of improvement
• Effectively motivate and manager the team

The successful Mine Manager must have experience within:

• Open-pit (cut) experience
• Proficient in mine planning software such as: X-pac, Datamine, Surpac
• Experience in dealing with/managing mining contractors, migration from contractor to owner mining

Desirable experience:

• Senior Mine Engineer background
• Experience of either the gold mining industry or West Africa (Ghana, Mali, Guinea,Liberia, Sierra Leone or Ivory Coast)

Education Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in within mining – ideally mining engineer
