Position Overview:

 Reporting to the Senior Planning and Scheduling Supervisor, the Production Engineering Technologist will be responsible for managing the planning and scheduling of weekly, monthly and 3 monthly plans and priorities ensuring that resources such as; workforce, materials and equipment are available to achieve the weekly plan and the monthly forecasts. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Coordinate activities with Superintendents to ensure overall productions targets are met.
• Set performance expectation rates for forecast, schedule and daily execution. Ensure that supervisors understand and execute the daily and weekly schedule.
• Verify accuracy of data SIMS, train personnel in proper data entry of SIMS and PPCS computer software.
• Promote health, safety, environment and community objectives for employees and contractors are met.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess;

• Mine Engineering Technician or Technologist Diploma
• 2 years experience in an underground environment
• AutoCAD and scheduling program knowledge would be considered an asset
