Purpose:

GSC for its One Finance Project, is looking for a finance professional to take up the position of Controller. The position is based in the GSC and reports to the Cluster Finance Operations Manager, with shared KPI’s with the Cluster Finance Manager

He / She is overall responsible for financial cost control and analysis for the country, managing the country budget, monitoring its performance against actual and generally providing the Country Finance Manager with accurate, timely, and comprehensive quality financial information and feedback on country cost performance and business plans.

It is the Controllers responsibility to ensure that appropriate cost controls and policies are in place. The Controller is expected to be committed to supporting the corporate and departmental budget strategies, adding value and maintaining close and strong relationship with all country and GSC stake holders.

Prime responsibilities include:

•     Ensure timely and accurate accruals with focus on completeness, timeliness and quality in Reporting.

•     Manage budget and full year estimate  and ensure that the annual budgets are completed in time and updated in SAP / HFM

•     Carry out cost projections at required intervals for Budget/FYE, Consolidate and prepare Budget/FYE data

•     Regular monthly monitoring of the cost centre budgets with Department Heads and Cost Centre Analysis to keep departmental costs within agreed limits.

•     Ensure proper registration process in local and corporate accounting systems (SAP> HFM)

•     Coordination with internal and external auditors, on Country control environment as required.

•     Ensure cost governance policies and procedures are in place and up to date

2. Technical

•     Degree in Accounting/Audit/Finance or equivalent with understanding of GAAP and IFRS guidelines

•     Desired is formal training as a Cost / Management Accountant (CFA / ICWA / CMA etc)

•     Microsoft office (excel is a must)

•     SAP experience will be added advantage

•     Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
