PURPOSE
The SCADA Foreman is a member of a multidiscipline team, reporting to the Superintendent. The main purpose of the position is to keep the SCADA system operational and current with all relevant end devices.
Oversee SCADA team in providing efficient and effective field support to achieve the levels of plant and equipment reliability and availability for automation and SCADA field hardware, communications and related field software. Ensure that the technical integrity of the plant and associated equipment is maintained in accordance with relevant regulatory standards.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
HSEC Responsibilities
• Ensure all HSEC and facility-related risks are identified and mitigated in a timely and efficient manner; promote a risk-based approach to all activities
• Understand and comply with applicable federal and state regulatory agency reporting and documentation requirements with regards to data processing.
• Participate in safety meetings for employees and ensure compliance with safety manual and other industry safety standards.
• Identify and report safety hazards, observe all safety requirements and actively strive to provide a safe work environment for company employees, customers, contractors and the public
• Perform all duties in accordance with BHP Billiton Petroleum Health, Safety and Environmental, standards, policies, and procedures.
Operational Responsibilities
• Supervise the SCADA team for new installations, preventative maintenance, reactive and breakdown maintenance for the SCADA system and automation systems and equipment
• Support the development of the integrated facility plan to ensure that activities are scheduled and conducted in such a way to minimize production deferrals
• Assist in managing controllable expenditures
• Ensure activities optimize production without compromising compliance with company HSEC management standards and government regulation
• Coordinate daily activities with other teams to minimize impacts on production
• Lead, maintain and promote excellence in well production and gathering by setting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing well production, pipeline gathering automation equipment
• Recommend field solutions for SCADA related items and other associated and interfacing systems
• Maintain automation and communication equipment at various production facility
• Assess current operations, procedures, problems or needs and recommend improvements for safety, increase productivity, enhance performance and reduce cost
• Perform technology reviews on SCADA related products as directed
• Utilize software programs to monitor well and gathering production equipment
• Interact with measurement and control technicians and gas control
• Provide end-user training/coaching on SCADA controllers and related software uses
• Ensure team is fully competent and adequate personnel are available for daily tasks
Project Responsibilities

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 7 years experience in maintenance operations on oil and gas facilities required
• Experience in maintenance reporting, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and production optimization
• Strong technical knowledge SCADA systems, automation
• Advanced Excel spreadsheet knowledge including both mathematical and functionality formulas, multi-page workbooks, building macros and complex nested formulas.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, to provide information to relevant resources
• Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts
• Must be a team player as well as a goal-oriented individual who functions with the highest level of integrity and professionalism
• Able to prioritize and work in a fast-paced team environment
• Self starter and capable of working independently
• Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft office applications, able to learn company specific applications
Preferred:
• College or Technical School Degree
• Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management system
• Working knowledge of low-voltage electronics, electricity and basic oil and gas principles
• Experience in working with engineers and / or multi-disciplinary teams preferred
• Strong health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance record preferred
