PURPOSE
The Operations Planning Specialist is responsible for effective delivery of key PU Operations Team Work Management & Integrated Planning processes, systems and resources supporting:
• Asset work management processes & systems for effective asset & maintenance management • Integrated work planning and scheduling for work affecting producing assets • Planning leadership for Operations projects and turnaround activities • Application & utilization of best practices for work management, planning, and SAP PM within PU
This position is responsible for direct service and support of the PU Asset Field Managers, Material & Logistics Manager, and Operations Manager roles. Additional areas of responsibility may be assigned on an ad-hoc basis as driven by business needs.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• GOM PU Work Management Processes, including application of SAP PM • GOM PU Integrated Field Planning and Scheduling (IFPS) • Delivery of processes, systems, training, measurement, surveillance, and associated communications plans for items above • Delivery of top quartile work management process performance (measured within Petroleum)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PU Work Management Process (WMP) Management
• WMP subject matter expert (SME) for PU • Development and stewardship of effective WMP processes (as defined further within elements below) • Principal champion/leader for driving PUOPS WMP performance improvement processes and initiatives • Delivery of systematic global networking, best practice leveraging, and lessons learning capabilities, resulting in effective continuous improvement • WMP KPI development, measurement, and surveillance support.
• Support asset managers in delivering the means for collaborative and unified drive for delivery of key business results through WMP application • Provide technical support to team co-ordinators with process & software.
• Support WMP integration into new asset development activities • Facilitate routine GOM PU WMP training, development, and use optimization workshops • Key GOM PU interface for 1SAP, and WMP-maintenance integration
Integrated Field Planning (IFP)
• Development and utilization of common IFP guidelines and processes, assuring successful short, medium, and long term OPS activity planning • Delivery of mechanisms for planning performance measurement, evaluation, and improvement • Delivery of systematic, effective, and highly optimized planning results, ensuring effective resource utilization • Identification and capture of integrated campaign maintenance and project work opportunities • Produce & maintain 90 day, 18 month and 5 year IFP, produce monthly performance reports • Facilitate integration of planning efforts of other PU functional teams, ensuring plan alignment with Operations • Divisional Planning Interface (Development and Production Divisions) for PUOPS • Produce long term work plans to assist leadership team with Lifecycle planning & budgeting • Budget & forecasting link to Finance for WMP and maintenance activities Support of PU Operations Management activities as required

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering or Management
Experience & Technical Competencies
• A minimum of ten years of leadership within the field of maintenance systems, planning, and scheduling management, preferably within the upstream petroleum industry • Managing teams of direct and indirect reports • SME in implementation and utilization of SAP Plant Maintenance (R3), MS Project & Excel, and other MS Office suite products • Experience in developing and managing physical asset operational and maintenance strategies, and strong understanding of effective maintenance and integrity programs.
• Direct experience with the management systems and processes used within large operational organizations • Proven record delivering operational results which meet/exceed safety, production, and financial targets.
Languages: English fluent.
