Job description:

This role owns the assessment methodology for all safety critical roles within a function. It leads the MoC effort to successfully embed this methodology into the organization as well as providing sustainability of the program through continuous improvement of its elements.

Working closely with Upstream Learning, Upstream Functions, S&OR, HR, Legal, government agencies this role will provide expertise in how effective assessments can be structured and administered. This role will have a small team of contract Competency and Assessment experts supplied by a 3rd party contract partner
Provide strategic direction for our assessment efforts, ensuring it remains aligned with the Upstream Assessment methodology.

Lead the build out and implementation of competence standards, and assessment methods and tools to drive competence assurance for a specific function.

Performance manage the Assessment Program, setting key metrics to track and monitor progress. Identify risks and implement mitigating actions, and drive continuous improvement to assure the program delivers against intent.

Create positive and productive relationships with all program stakeholders, creating clarity of roles and responsibilities and resourcing levels required for execution of the program.
Masters degree in Learning, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology or related field.Proven track record of developing assessment programs (i.e. writing competence standards, designing assessment tools and instruments, assessor training) for a large, international company.
Experience validating assessment tools and programs to ensure maximum validity and reliability.
5+ years of experience in Corporate Learning.
3+ years of experience providing leadership and managing a diverse team.
Experience working across organizational boundaries to bring together various stakeholder individuals and groups to progress high impact initiatives
Effective communicator (verbal and written) able to quickly establish effective working relationships with partners, vendors, and colleagues to deliver and influence the organization’s agenda.
Strong ability to influence people at all levels within an organization.
Skillful presentations – both face-to-face and online. Proactive self-starter able to adjust to changing business needs.
Flexibility and creative problem solving working with diverse globally dispersed team.
Highly credible professional with outstanding interpersonal skills.
Continually leads by example in following areas: Motivating, positive, energetic, and helpful. Willing to challenge and be challenged.
Highly creative yet goal focused.
Proficiency with online computer and instructional technology software.
