Senior Projects Engineer                   Saskatoon, SK, Canada
Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, you will be the leader of the Saskatoon based technical team responsible for future projects in the context of the longer term business strategy. The key functions and responsibilities of the position include:
Preparing integrated technical and environmental project development studies from conceptual through scoping and pre-feasibility stages.
Working with management from key functional areas such as environment and safety to co-ordinate and direct consultants in support of project development to final feasibility.
Liaising with exploration and resource geologists for transfer of resources to operations, and the development of updates on mineral reserves as required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A degree in mine engineering and a minimum of 15 years project experience including supervision, project planning, and mine scheduling.
Knowledge of mining methods and mine geology application to mining for both open pit and underground.
Awareness of environment assessment and the licensing relationship to engineering.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Advanced computing skills in project management software.
This is a full-time position located in our Saskatoon Corporate office with travel to our operating sites as required.
