In addition to managing a group of railway workers, you will take part in railway infrastructure maintenance in order to ensure that the section for which you are responsible is well maintained and safe while minimizing railway traffic interruptions and conforming to all QNS&L railway regulations in the context of a railway that falls under the Federal jurisdiction of Transport Canada. You must be ready to work on various shifts across the entire railway. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Supervisor.
• College diploma in a relevant transport field or equivalent;
• High school diploma completed required;
• Minimum of 5 years experience in management of railway transportation employees;
• Possess good knowledge of railway safety standards and procedures, operating requirements and Federal railway operation standards;
• Minimum of 3 years experience in managing unionized employees;
• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written);
• Proven interest towards continuous improvement and the health and safety in everyday tasks . Furthermore, you should also possess good leadership, communications and conflict resolution skills as well as a good knowledge of various software platforms, including Microsoft Office.
