A Toronto-based gold producer with expanding production is looking to add a General Manager to its team to manage the refurbishment and commissioning of a former producing gold mine and the ongoing operations at the mine and the associated properties. This person will have key input into the mining operations and growing resources. Being involved in building the mining team and leading the development, this person will also be responsible for controlling costs and maximizing profitability of all aspects of the development and operation and will implement the best management practices and cost control methods.
The successful candidate will have a solid background in underground mining operations, maintenance and mill operations. 10+ years in increasingly senior operations and leadership roles combined with a degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline are required. Proven leadership and technical savvy as well as a strong ability to manage multiple projects, teams and operations are necessary.
This is a highly visible and critical leadership position with direct impact on the company’s performance. This position will be based in Snow Lake, Manitoba.
