The Role   An opportunity exists for an experienced Open Cut Mine Foreman based at our Mt Rawdon operation in Queensland. Reporting to the Mining Manager you will focus on all mining production activities and quality control of contractor maintenance.   With a background in supervision of maintenance activities and hard rock mining operations, the successful candidate must have the drive and ability to work autonomously, deliver results and contribute to development of the Mt Rawdon open pit and subordinates.   Company housing will be provided in the Town of Mount Perry. Reasonable relocation expenses will also be paid by the company. A shared company work vehicle will be provided for travel to and from Mt Perry and the minesite while for the rostered on period.   To be successful     To be considered for this role you must have the ability to demonstrate experience/qualifications in the following areas:-  

• High commitment to safe working practices at all times and have a good understanding of risk management processes
• A strong focus on environmental best practice and continuous improvement.
• Working with contractors and contract management
• Good with people and a team player, Mt Rawdon has a small mining team
• Good mining equipment maintenance background and ideally worked in hard rock open pit mines with difficult ground and wall conditions requiring a good appreciation of good wall management practices.
• Prepared to work a 9 days on, 5 days off, roster
• Well developed written and oral communication skills
• Use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

    Mount Rawdon Operation Mt Rawdon is an open pit gold and silver mine located in South East Queensland, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of Bundaberg. Mt Rawdon employs around 150 people including contractors who live locally in the towns of Mt Perry, GinGin and surrounding regional communities.
