Our client in the Denver Metro area has an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer. This is a direct placement opportunity. Candidates will be considered immediately.
Engineering Activities
- Deliver continuous improvement in the efficient and reliable operation of mobile and fixed plant mechanical systems (such as pumping systems).
- Support deliverance of two engineering aspects – Governance and Functional Excellence.
- Maximization of plant operation time through root cause analysis of down time events.
- Track and improve on key performance indicators.
- Coordination and use of contractors and monitor contracts for appropriateness and accuracy.
- Actively participate in integration of North American engineering team into the global team and implement best practices to deliver efficient and effective Governance and services.
- Initiation, progression and implementation of projects as deemed necessary by the business to improve plant operation and/or grow the business.
- Maintain the pump database base system (develop and monitor preventive maintenance completion to improve systems reliability).
- Deliver pump maintenance and safety training to operators and technicians.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- BS Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7 years experience in plant or process engineering environment with engineering risk management experience.
- Broad based knowledge of explosives manufacturing processes, blasting applications and mining methods along with knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations.
- Conversant with all engineering disciplines.
- Knowledge of commercial application of explosives.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with wide variety of levels from operators to senior managers.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of SAP helpful.
- Performance measures include: budget management, timely completion of projects, cost reduction, margin improvements, customer feedback and audit completion.
