Aerotek is currently seeking for two full time Manual Machinists in Montana
The Manual Machinist will manual machine complex parts for heavy equipment components for surface mining haul trucks and related equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determines components specifications (tolerances, thickness, lengths, etc.) by measuring tolerances and comparing to blueprints, drawings, component identifications and parts breakdown, etc.
- Summarizes specific steps that need to be performed to machine a wide variety of parts and components
- Manual machines components and mechanical parts for engines, transmissions, etc by using manual lathes and mills
- Establishes clearances, torque values, lengths, etc. by performing mathematical calculations
- Ensures precision equipment is maintained by following scheduled maintenance plan, keeping tools clean, calibrating and placing in secure locations
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. At least 4-7 years of work experience as a manual machinist of large industrial parts is required and a very good understanding of precision measuring tools, and blueprints is required. Ability to lift up to 25-50LBS is required.
These are full time and permanent job opportunities, this is not field job but a stable job in a state of the art shop.
$22-26/hour DOT + excellent benefits, a relocation package and plenty of OT hours.
