Aker Solutions MMO based in Trondheim is one of the lead suppliers of services within maintenance and modifications in the oil and gas industry. In addition Aker Solutions MMO delivers early stage studies for development of existing oil and gas fields.

We need experienced engineers and talents who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans in our office in Trondheim. We are looking for: Senior Mechanical Engineer,

Responsibilities and tasks

• Preparation of technical specifications and documentation for purchase of various deliveries related to the Mechanical discipline.
• Prepare input to cost estimate.
• Input to planning and reporting of progress.
• Follow up equipment supply and documentation.
• Perform offshore surveys.
• Final inspection and testing, technical clarifications and offshore surveys preparation of installation packages.
• Partake as mechanical engineer or lead engineer on small or larger projects.
• Partake in contract negotiations with relevant suppliers.
• Participation in early stage studies.

Qualifications & personal attributes

• Master/bachelor engineering degree, preferably within mechanical subjects.
• Experience with static and/or rotating equipment from the oil and gas industry.
• Preferably knowledge to relevant offshore standards and codes.
• Extensive work experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills written and orally in both English and Norwegian.
