Education:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering

Education in reciprocating gas engines, gas turbines, gas and air compressors, cranes, pumps, electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, and safety and production systems preferred

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience in oil and gas operations or other suitable industry experience
Minimum 10 years of maintenace management supervision in a maintenance team preferred
Minimum 8 years of demonstrated leadership in a maintenance team
Minimum 3 years experience with a Computer Based Maintenance Program
Have an understanding of life cycle of maintenance and operations
Extensive Deepwater offshore maintenance experience preferred

Extensive maintenance and operations knowledge
Team player - good interpersonal coaching and mentoring
Self motivator - planing, organization and facilitation

Good experience with Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment
Have a good understanding of the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation technician jobs
Have a general understanding of offshore field development, drilling and completions

Description: This is a key role in support of the onshore production facilities in the U.S. Onshore. The position holder is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and troubleshootint og all mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment and systems on all Murphy production facilities. The maintenance foreman is responsible for directing and insuring all maintenance and regulatory compliance work is performed safely, efficiently and according to procedure and that his supervisor is made aware of all activities, especially where safety is an issue. The maintenance foreman is responsible for all maintenance activities including preventive maintenance and participates as necessary in departmental meetings and efforts in the design and/or modification to facilities. The coordinator prepares budgets, writes AFE'S for major repairs and capital expenditures, orders materials and repairs. This is a staff level, supervisory position.

Essential responsibilities include:

Supervises maintenance personnel in U.S. Onshore production facilities
Coordinates major repair activities
Participates in inter-department meetings for operations and engineering development
Prepares maintenace budget
Orders critical maintenance spares
Is vigilant in predicting failures and ordering parts beforehand
Oversears, develops, maintains preventative maintenance sustem on all equipment
Interacts with accountants in cost control efforts
Provides leadership in equipment repairs
Assists in the daily operation of the platforms
Performs all job-related duties assigned by immediate supervisor
Is in weekend duty rotation for Operations group
Supervise special projects as deemed necesasry by Operations Manager

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
