Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have post-secondary education, preferably Business or Engineering related.
ASET accreditation is preferred, though not mandatory.
Should possess a minimum 5 to 8 years oil and gas experience.
Understanding of regulatory requirements for oil and gas pipeline and facility design and construction Experience with ERCB, AENV, OGC, SIR
Experience with NEB is preferred
Responsibilities:
Preparation of all necessary regulatory applications for Client projects undertaken in Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon and NWT
Preparation of pipeline, gas plant facility and other facilities applications and audit packages
Preparation of calculations, emissions calculations, and noise calculations
Air Dispersion Modeling
Gathering and reporting of appropriate regulatory data
Preparation and follow through of applications for ERCB, ABSA, AENV, OGC, MWLAP, NEB, etc.
Requirements:
Must have familiarity and expertise relative to all applicable statutes and regulations impacting construction of oil and gas facilities and pipeline systems
Development and maintenance of relationships with applicable boards and regulatory bodies
Overall requirement of position will be to ensure compliance of all applications to appropriate regulatory body and various Acts and Regulations such as: Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, Oil and Gas Conservation Act, Pipeline Act and Regulations, Alberta Stack Sampling Code, CEMS Code, Building and Development Code, Air Quality Guidelines and Objectives, Water Act, Directive 056 (Energy Development Applications and Schedules), Directive 055 (Storage Requirements for the Upstream Petroleum Industry), Directive 060 (Upstream Petroleum Industry Flaring, Incinerating, and Venting), Air Monitoring Directive, National Energy Board Oil and Gas Operations Act, B.C. Petroleum and Natural Gas Act, Oil and Gas Activities Act (OGAA), B.C. Pipeline Act and Regulations, Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Conservation Act and Regulations, and Saskatchewan Pipeline Act and Regulations.
Opportunity:
The successful candidate will work on pipeline and facility projects from $1MM to $20MM in capital cost.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients on projects throughout Western Canada.
