Requirements for the role:

• Reporting to the Ancillary Services and Capital Projects Superintendent.
• Insisting on and encouraging a safe work environment.
• Plan to achieve and consistently achieve the Zinc Open Pit’s KPI of safe production
• Ensuring they are conversant and compliant with the appropriate Queensland statutory Acts and Regulations
• Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of incidents and data.
• Demonstrate the ability to supervise, plan, organise and control project operations to optimise the use of available resources ensuring targets and objectives are met.
• Building and maintaining an effective team through coaching and personal role modelling
• Demonstrate leadership skills and characteristics and the potential to develop further.
• Provide clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Good time management skills with the ability to recognise and allocate priorities

The Successful Candidate Will Possess:

• Excellent Project Management skills relating to earthworks construction with the ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion on time and on budget. Engineering/ Project management qualifications preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude, extensive road maintenance and construction experience
• Effective Communication and Inter-Personal Skills
• Experience in a supervisory or similar capacity in mining/ civil construction would be an advantage
• The Ability to Multi Task
• Works Well Under Pressure
• Proficient knowledge and proven practical application of Microsoft Project program.
