This medium sized engineering consultancy specialises in detailed design and management of multi-disciplined projects primarily in mining, minerals processing, bulk materials handling, industrial, and water treatment covering electrical, mechanical and civil disciplines. They boast a fantastic reputation in their field which has led to rapid organic growth in key areas of their business and have a requirement for Senior Electrical Engineer to compliment their strong electrical team.

Role:

Based just outside the Brisbane CBD, you will report directly to the Director of Electrical Engineering and you will be required to produce accurate detailed design for a number of large scale projects with the main focus of this role relating to HV substation design for underground mine sites. Your projects will also include power systems analysis, control automation, lighting protection and earthing, hazardous area design, bulk material handling and minerals processing. An understanding or the ability to conduct arc flash analysis will be highly regarded but is not essential.

To be considered for this role you must have:

-         An Electrical Engineering Degree

-         HV Substation Design – (66 & 132KV)

-         Control Automation – PLC & SCADA

-         Hazardous Areas Design

-         Software experience – Power Factor Digsilent or SKM Powertools

-         Bulk Materials Handling eg. Bucket Conveyors, belts, slurry pumps etc.

-         Self starter – the ability to hit the ground running
