The Role
To support mechanical design, technical analysis and resolution of engineering problems. 
Provide direction and coordination of a team of engineers and designers to successfully complete projects within the business unit to guarantee the delivery of safe, high quality and best value outcomes. 

The Responsibilities
Provide technical, managerial and supervisory direction to determine requirements for projects. 
Supervise and approve prepared estimates 
Provide technical and supervisory direction to prioritise schedules. 
Supervise and provide coordination for major projects 
Provide technical and managerial direction for complex special projects.  
Organise and develop staff 
Coordinate technical activities on assigned projects. 
Project Manage assigned engineering work.  
Monitor and report on progress within projects. 
Manage suppliers’ performance within projects.  
Monitor and report on customer requirements and expectations
Monitor and report on quality performance

The Person
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent
Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
Demonstrate problem solving and root cause analysis skills. 
Have significant Quality and Verification experience
Must possess superior engineering skills and be capable of interacting with all engineering disciplines. 
Must have an advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering and design and be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.
