Job Responsibilities:
Mechanical designer will work on a wide variety of industrial projects. Responsibilities will include development of creative design packages involving field measurements; attending meetings with internal design team, clients and customers; performing calculations; contacting equipment suppliers and, designing 3-D CAD layouts in Plant 3D. This Designer may also oversee fabrication/construction, and assist with system start-up. Typical projects include industrial wastewater treatment systems, pollution control systems, and automated chemical process systems. The position offers an exciting diversity of engineering work and the opportunity to be creative. The Water Treatment Group is an integral part of a large international engineering firm with projects worldwide.

5 to 10 years of mechanical design and piping experience, and at least 25 percent hands-on shop or field experience. Demonstrable experience in:
AutoCAD®
AutoCAD® P&ID
AutoCAD® Plant 3D
It would be considered a plus to show experience in the following:
AutoCAD® Structural Detailing,
Autodesk® Revit® Structure
Autodesk® Navisworks®
Autodesk® Inventor®
Autodesk Civil 3D
Design packages include multiple engineering disciplines, including piping systems, steel structures, equipment design, and automated control systems. A well qualified individual must have the ability and interest to provide coordination with various team members. Electrical/control system experience is also desirable, but not required.
