PURPOSE

Responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of pipeline projects in support of BHPBilliton's on-shore shale developments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead multiple project teams in developing and managing a portfolio of pipeline projects in support of approved development plans.
• Work closely with Production Units in providing input to field development plans.
• Establish quality management requirements and support project teams in the development of quality plans.
• Lead initiatives to promote visible and pro-active management commitment and team involvement in HSE & Quality activities
• Review and approve contracting strategies and assist in the negotiation of contracts and procurement.
• Ensure all permitting and regulatory compliance, including tracking of regulatory approvals is properly coordinated
• Participate in periodic project HSE and Quality audits and inspections; and formal incident reviews
• Ensure the project cost, schedule and reporting functions meet the project objectives
• Ensure teams are appropriately staffed to achieve the project plans and objectives

EXPERIENCE

•  Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering

•  Minimum 15 years industry related experience

•  Proven track record in project delivery and contractor management, including excellent HSE performance

•  Experience in onshore gas gathering projects
