CH2M Process Piping Engineer - Houston, TX

Our Process Piping Engineer position will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting small to large scale energy and chemical projects in our Houston, TX office.

Our Process Piping Engineer will:

• Prepare Piping Material Classes for use with SmartPlant 3D.
• Generate technical and procurement specifications for piping components, valves, springs and hangers and piping specialty items
• Create and analyze computer models for pipe stress and flexibility to determine loads for multiple operating and testing conditions on a wide range of equipment.
• Prepare manual calculations or analyze by sight when appropriate.
• Review the work of other pipe stress and specification engineers and technicians.

Our Process Piping Engineer will also have:

• Pipe Stress and Specifications Engineer.<.
• 8 years minimum of piping engineering experience.
• Experienced in the application of ASME B31.3 design principles in high and low temperature piping applications.
• Must be skilled with Caesar II pipe stress analysis software.
• Must be skilled in Material Selection and Specification Development in the SmartPlant 3D environment.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering Required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in Piping Design and Engineering
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Local candidates preferred

Degree Required

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
