Due to a restructure, there is the opportunity for you to come on-board as Maintenance Engineer.  Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be primarily responsible for supervising the plant set-up, repairs and maintenance across both shifts within the pipe workshop.  Your strong people skills will assist you in managing contractors to make sure labour is used efficiently to minimise downtime.  Other responsibilities may include:

• Ensure tooling is ready for production
• Maintain and develop the preventative maintenance system
• Generate and maintain a Plant Certification Register
• Calibration of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Raise or approve purchase requisitions for maintenance, tooling equipment and materials and capital equipment
• Manage capital projects and other maintenance / engineering projects

We will consider candidates whose skills and experience include:

• Tertiary qualifications in either Mechanical, Process or Production engineering
• Strong contractor management and people management skills
• Heavy industry / manufacturing / production environment
• RPEQ will be held in high regard
• Quality, safety and environmental systems implementation and development
