Description

 The incumbent in this role requires strong skills in the maintenance of auto-electrical systems on mobile equipment.  Responsibilities includes training and guiding the workforce to conduct proper maintenance and repairs on a variety of UG mining mobile equipment.  The position will also be required to work with autonomous and remote control loaders in underground production areas.     Additional responsibilities:  

1. Develop, guide and train the National workforce in the proper maintenance and repair of auto-electrical systems on mobile equipment.
2. Assist in the setup up maintenance practices, shops, PM programs and repair procedures for auto-electrical systems.
3. Provide training and mentoring of the non-staff and staff workforce as required.
4. With the assistance of the Training department, develop and implement needed training programs to better the skills of the workforce.
5. Provide hands-on assistance of repairs and maintenance of mobile equipment.
6. Assist in the setup and installation of expanding autonomous systems that includes loaders, trucks and chutes. 

Qualifications

• Highs School diploma with extensive trades training with auto-electrical systems and a minimum of eight (8) year's experience working on UG mining equipment as an auto-electrician.
•  Bachelor's (S1) degree in mining/mechanical/electrical preferred.
• Capability to training/teaching/coach and mentor skills.
• Computer literacy for diagnostic purposes and flashing ECMs.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems.
• Experience in working with a culturally diversified workforce.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Safety awareness in working around UG mobile equipment.
