Mechanical/Maintenance Engineer will report to the Cement Maintenance/Mechanical Manager. The primary function of this position is to support plant Maintenance and Production departments through problem solving and project execution in order to reduce down time, improve process and lower operating costs.
Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot problems in the plant by studying and determining root causes of failures. Implement corrective actions assuring long reliability.
Manage projects including but not limited to project safety, scope development, budget, tracking/controlling, coordinating with internal resources as well as outside firms and suppliers.
Assist with departmental budget development, maintenance reporting, and capital expenditure request.
Maintenance and modification of the plant engineering systems and library.
Inspect and evaluate equipment and develop reliability centered maintenance programs.
Manage, engage and utilize all levels of employees to assist in generating creative ways to drive continuous improvement.
Develop and provide training as necessary to support safety, equipment reliability, and process efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Fluid systems (compressible and non-compressible), Vibrations, Rotating equipment, Structural Design
Experience with CAD (AutoCad).
Project management skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and to research to resolve ambiguous information effectively.
Previous experience working in manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
Position may require travel.
