We are currently seeking an experienced Mining Manager to join our team.  Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for Mining Operations including Geology, Engineering and Production.

The Role

The Mining Manager is accountable for:

• Developing and driving the mining strategy
• Developing departmental operating and capital budgets
• Managing the mine production, planning and geology functions to ensure overall production and costs are within budget.
• Ensuring production schedule is optimised without comprising safety standards
• Monthly reporting of mine performance
• Reviewing and updating annual mine plan and developing long term plans and schedules
• Implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Managing, motivating and developing the mining team

The successful candidate will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in a Mining related discipline
• NSW Production Managers Certificate (desirable)
• Significant experience in an open cut environment
• Overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities
• Demonstrated leadership in a multi-disciplinary mining department
• Proven experience in setting and leading business strategy
• Strong organisational, interpersonal and commercial skills
