McArthur River Mining Pty Ltd operates a zinc-lead-silver mine in which 2.2 million tonnes of ore is extracted each year. McArthur River Mine is located in the Gulf of Carpentaria region of the Northern Territory.

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Mine Production Engineer is primarily responsible for optimising the performance of production crews through the effective communication of the short term schedule. Through developing designs and providing technical advice and guidance to operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that systems are in place to optimise day to day production activities.

You will have a Mining Engineering Degree with a minimum 2 years experience in mining operations, including technical support of a hard rock open cut mine.

You will need to have good time management and interpersonal skills as well as initiative to propose and develop opportunities to improve open pit operations.

Experience with Vulcan software would be highly regarded along with previous exposure to design and implementation of drill and blast patterns, as you will assist this position as required.

This position is a Fly-in, Fly-out roster based from Darwin. Relocation is available for the successful candidate.
