Surface Crusher Operator

George Fisher Mine – Fixed Plant Infrastructure

Applications are invited for the position of Surface Crusher Operator located at the George Fisher Mine in the Fixed Plant Infrastructure team. This position is fully residential and based in Mount Isa, Queensland.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Daily Plant Inspections.
• Taking and Recording Measurements and Readings on a regular basis
• Good House Keeping.
• Operate CAT 988 Loader and CAT 226B Loader ( Bobcat )
• Achieving Safety and Production Goals.
• Assist trades with routine maintenance and shutdown work as required.

Ideally you will possess:

• Reasonable mechanical aptitude.
• A strong commitment to Safety.
• A willingness to take on new challenges and learn new skills.
• Prior experience in heavy industry, mining or quarrying is advantageous.
• Loader operator experience would be considered an advantage but is not essential.
• Most importantly, you will be a hard working and reliable person keen to learn and contribute positively in a team environment plus have a desire to participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
