ATH Resources offers the opportunity to join a very successful mining company, striving to work to the highest standards in everything we do. Realising that our staff are our greatest asset we are looking to recruit for the following individuals to strengthen our operations in Ayrshire.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a wealth of experience gained from working in the mining industry and the repairing, maintaining and servicing of heavy earth moving plant including O&K RH120e and Komatsu PC3000 excavators.
You will be proactive in both your outlook and your involvement in the continuous improvement and planned maintenance programs. You will take measures to repair equipment breakdowns and repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to limit the effects on the site production targets.
You will be competent in the supervision of others and be able to demonstrate an ability to supervise and provide assistance to junior team members and apprentices.
You will be able to carry out functional and diagnostic tests on plant equipment and subsequently diagnose, rectify and carry our running repairs on mobile plant engines, fuel and hydraulic systems. In addition you will be capable of carrying out periodic and technical inspections on the plant equipment, checking safety aspects, condition and fitness of equipment and completing inspection and examination reports.
Furthermore you will be fully conversant in the following areas; welding & cutting, bench cutting, reading off drawings & taking off information, operating plant equipment to carry out functional tests, removing, dismantling & the replacing of major plant assemblies and the servicing of all plant equipment.
The successful candidate will ideally posses a formal plant maintenance qualification; level 3 SVQ in Plant Mechanics or similar.
