MITAS Programme

The MITAS programme is an intense 2-year training and working period for our future technical leaders and experts, in which you will undergo three rotations of eight months each. There are possibilities for rotating to other business units within the worldwide A.P. Moller-Maersk Group. In each rotation, you will be affiliated to a new department and work with new tasks. The goal is that you gain a wide understanding of the fundamentals of process engineering and project management at various stages of the energy value chain to enable you to choose the right direction of your future career.

MITAS Training

The MITAS programme combines learning on the job with technical courses and general skills development within the MITAS framework. Together with other MITAS participants from other departments and business units you will participate in courses covering a range of subjects from fundamentals of engineering in the oil and gas industry through to project management and safety.

You will be working in a challenging, fast moving, interesting and highly rewarding environment while being exposed to a broad field of assignments and projects in the oil and gas industry.

We will challenge you!

Through a two-year intensive training and working period you will acquire hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry working both at the rig site and in the office, planning and executing operations. During rotations you will work with state-of-the-art tools and equipment and be mentored and supervised by Senior Engineers and in-house experts.

You will be enrolled in A. P. Moller - Maersk’s technology and science programme (MITAS). Besides intensive technical training this programme also provides courses in Denmark and abroad to develop business competencies within project management, economics, innovation and business plan writing.

Qualifications

You are a recently graduated engineer with a strong technical focus and drive (e.g. mechanical, chemical, process, civil, structural, drilling, petroleum, production, reservoir engineering, etc.). Previous education or experience within drilling/petroleum engineering is not a requirement. You appreciate working independently and in cross disciplinary and international teams. You are highly motivated, encomiastic and have excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
