Usibelli Coal Mine, Inc Is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer Located in Healy, Alaska This position is a member of the Engineering team at Usibelli Coal Mine, Inc. (UCM). Responsible for carrying out a full range of engineering functions, including, but not limited to: generation of mineable pit designs, short or long range planning, equipment analysis, and the creation of alternative mine plans with the goal of maximizing revenue,. Will have assisted in the development and management departmental budgets to be active in all aspects of operational safety, efficient utilization of the resources and encourage teamwork across the departments. Experience/Qualifications: A Degree in Mine Engineering, experience in a mining environment preferred with a thorough understanding of open pit mining operations as well as a general understanding mine maintenance. Experience with AutoCAD a must. Must have valid driver's license and be presently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Five years experience or more with open pit mining is preferred The successful candidate must have well developed computer skills, proven leadership abilities and good interpersonal skills.
