PURPOSE

The Planning Specialist is a member of a multidiscipline operations team, reporting to the OIM or Plant Manager. The position is responsible for the planning and coordination of facility activities and requires demonstration of competencies in Asset Management processes and proficiencies in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). The Planning Specialist will integrate and analyze operational and maintenance planning requirements with the goal of minimizing operational risk and maximizing reliability and efficiency. This position requires the integration of a range of operations, HSEC, regulatory, and planning knowledge and experience.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

¡¤  Ensure all activities are performed safely and within company HSEC and operational standards

¡¤  Support the development of the integrated facility plan specializing in 1SAP utilization; ensure that production activities are scheduled and conducted in such a way to minimize production deferral

¡¤  Ensure plans, budgets and forecasts are aligned and that required interventions initiated

¡¤  Support cost management and inventory management

¡¤  Support goal of increasing ratio of planned vs. unplanned work

¡¤  Monitor performance measures within the PU and report compliance; identify appropriate interventions as required

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

HSEC Responsibilities

¡¤  Ensure all HSEC and facility©related risks are identified and mitigated in a timely and efficient

manner; promote a risk©based approach to operations and maintenance

¡¤  Plan and track operational, maintenance and integrity management activities in compliance with

legislation, the Facility Safety Case, ISO 14001 and Company HSEC management systems

¡¤  Ensure that all 3rd party activities are conducted in compliance with company HSEC

management standards

¡¤  Support the OIM during emergency responses

¡¤  Support facility HSEC meetings as required

Operational Responsibilities

¡¤  Manage the 1SAP Maintenance database, ensuring that maintenance routines are up©to©date,

aligned with HSEC requirements and maintenance strategies

¡¤  Assist document control with the processing of documents and data for operational use

¡¤  Develop and maintain a PU shutdown strategy through to end of field life, incorporating approved business forecasts, field development projects, maintenance strategies and customer operating strategies

¡¤  Verify availability of resources and development of work packs for all jobs

¡¤  Maintain backlog files and reports and facilitate backlog review meetings

¡¤  Serve as key interface with 3rd parties, validating estimates, verifying plans and monitoring

progress

¡¤  Support the training and competency development of line employees ensuring planning of

assessments and learning events is in line with integrated facility plan

¡¤  Produce variance reports on key measures of the integrated facility plan


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

¡¤  High School Diploma or GED required. College Degree or Technical School Degree preferred.

Experience and Technical Competencies

¡¤  Strong scheduling software (MS Project, MS Excel or Primavera) experience required

¡¤  Strong capabilities in planning and scheduling of maintenance work through job requirements, sequence of operations and resources required

¡¤  Experience working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP experience preferred

¡¤  At least 8 years experience in production operations on oil and gas production facilities preferred

¡¤  Strong health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance knowledge preferred

¡¤  General experience in oil and gas process and maintenance preferred

¡¤  Experience in operational reporting preferred
