Qualifications:
Candidates must have a B.Sc. in
Engineering with minimum of five years of experience in SAGD
exploitation/reservoir and/or production engineering expertise and a total of 10 years + oil and gas industry.
Strong knowledge of thermal reservoir production and development strategies is required and experience in economic evaluations and exposure to field operations would be an asset.
Candidates must be proficient in the use of engineering and cost control applications, and Office applications.
Excellent communication, organizational and team leadership skills,complemented with a strong work ethic are also required.
Responsibilities:
Exploitation Engineering support during the construction phase of the SAGD project
Exploitation Engineering input to regulatory applications
Analysis of competitor SAGD operations for performance analogs
Evaluation of optimal SAGD well design, spacing and infill drilling
Responsible for the development and maintenance of SAGD production forecasts
Develop project plans, schedules, budgets and ensure projects are meeting goals and objectives
Proactively identify optimization opportunities and technology applications.
