Job description:

Assisting the department manager in the conceptual design, programming, testing, tendering and commissioning of 2 or 3 coal mining projects over the next couple of years. Depending on the size of the project, you may be taking on a project management role.

Control system replacement for Coal operations project

Coding of PLC to replace hardwired logic.

Incorporation into Plant HMI

Site commissioning.

Various control system changes and technical support for Mine expansion project

Occasional site visits performing requested improvements and troubleshooting.

PLC and HMI programming

Site shutdown and commissioning activities

You will be degree qualified in Electrical Engineering and have 8+ years of experience (at least 6 years in the Mining industry). Ideally you will have experience with PLC programming and SCADA, and possess skills in leadership, communication, project management / planning, procurement, execution, commissioning and handover.
