Mine Geologist - Open Pit northern Saskatchewan, Canada
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will be based at the EP/Komis site. As part of the operations group, you will work in a dynamic atmosphere where environment and safety are essential for success. The key functions and responsibilities of the position include:
in-pit geological mapping, supervision of ore production and daily reporting
blast monitoring with respect to geological structures and grade control
geological mapping and interpretation during mine development and the resource definition phase
supervising diamond drilling, core logging and sampling.
maintaining and updating the geological and production database
supervision of geological technicians
The ideal candidate will possess:
a bachelor’s degree in geology or geological science
one to three to years experience in an open pit environment
good working knowledge of Surpac and Amine
excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
strong organization and time management skills
This is a full-time position located in northern Saskatchewan operating on a rotational schedule of two weeks in and two weeks out.
