Qualifications:
Past experience in Electrical and Instrumentation industrial design would be an asset
Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and other regulatory codes
Experience in the oil & gas industry is an asset
AutoCAD experience is required
Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities
A willingness to work in a team atmosphere
Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a
Flexible approach to work assignments
Excellent attitude towards safety
Responsibilities:
Convert sketches and markups into properly documented electrical
Calculation of voltage drop, breaker/fuse/cable size, cable tray fill, electrical heat trace, etc.
Creation and/or development of single line diagrams, electrical layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, material lists, panel schedules, cable schedules, junction box details, shutdown key, and installation details
Preparation of work packages
Prepare as built drawings with field surveys
Assist in QA and the checking of work produced by less experienced drafting personnel
Assists in the development of drafting standards and processes
Assists in the maintenance of the drafting software
On job training and mentoring will be available for the successful junior candidate
Requirements:
Completion of Electrical Technology diploma program or equivalent from an accredited institution
