Reporting to the Senior Process Systems Programmer, the Process Systems Programmer is responsible for developing and maintaining software throughout PotashCorp’s potash divisions. In addition, technical assistance will be provided to potash sites to identify and resolve problems directly related to improving collection of, and maintaining integrity, of data within the scope of the Process Systems Programmer.
The position requires an individual that is a graduate from a technical school with a diploma in Computer Science or equivalent supplemented by a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Knowledge of programming languages (specifically languages incorporated into the .Net architecture), object-oriented development techniques, relational databases, Structured Query Language (SQL) and application development methodologies is necessary. Experience in process control systems would be an asset.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
