Electrical Inspector – Oil & Gas International
Estimated 1 Year Contract Assignment
Outstanding 1 year contract opportunity with a global oil and gas company as an Electrical Inspector. Rate up to $42/hour DOE, plus 4-10 hour work week schedule and minimal overtime.
The contract electrical inspector will assist with electrical technical assurance for projects. Assistance includes design, engineering, fabrication, construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout. The contract Electrical Inspector will report to the Project Electrical Engineer and to the Electrical Specialist as a secondary contact. This is not a Project Engineer role.
Responsibilities include:
• Assist with overall electrical equipment technical assurance planning & execution
• Provide broad day-to-day electrical equipment technical support
• Identify/specify appropriate codes, standards and specifications
• Identify/specify quality control and assurance requirements
• Maintain regular contact/and communication with engineering technical assurance group
• Develop thorough understanding of projects from electrical department/equipment perspective (e.g., equipment, design, and specifications)
• Maintain awareness of non E&C electrical equipment related project activity
• Involved in all phases:
o Concept development, FEL, detailed engineering & procurement (e.g., meetings as required, manuals)
o Construction (e.g., field visits, QA, resolve technical issues)
o Commissioning & Start-up (e.g., troubleshooting, equipment turnovers, testing)
o Post Start-up & Project Close-out (e.g., data input, audit)
